I'm hoping to take this train trip soon when I can get the logistics worked out. I'll take Alfie & stay at B&Bs on the way.

Enjoy it Helen! I like train trips, not that I do them often but there is something about being away from roads, traffic and motorways.

Just heard about champing on the BBC news tonight and it looks like such a delight. Not sure if they take doggily wogs, but here is an article about champing in Wales. Looks like they are way ahead of curve.

Not sure if this is helpful, but that's my intent. I worked for Budget Rent a Car Intnl Reservation Center in my salad days... loved that job. Anyhow, hope this helps.
