As part of the ongoing development of a programme of dowsing and associated activities a pilot event looking at labyrinths is now being offered. This pilot event will be limited to eight participants and will trial both materials and setting. The event will look at the history and design of labyrinths together with their uses, both old and new. Fay will also look at the effects of the progression through the labyrinth of the chakra system and aura and participants will have an opportunity to discuss this within the group setting or privately as preferrred. Lunch and labyrinth materials provided.
What is a Labyrinth?A labyrinth is a single path tool for personal, psychological and spiritual transformation. Labyrinths are thought to enhance right brain activity, being more intuitive and creative. A labyrinth is a sacred space, a place where we can experience the Divine, both within ourselves and our environment.
Why Would You Want to Experience a Labyrinth Event?A labyrinth is a unique tool, an experience that works on many levels, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. It is as effective with groups as it is on an individual level; it can work as a problem-solving tool, as a tool for enhancing group dynamics, as a walking mediation, as a path to an enhanced feeling of well-being, as a way of accessing one’s inner creativity, as a way of communicating with the Divine, however you may see it. In this trial event it is hoped that by building you own table top labyrinth of your own design, and working in the larger scale labyrinth outdoors all these levels will be accessed.
Labyrinths and Sacred SpaceA labyrinth is a sacred space, and the energy leys and underground water that are at the centre of any sacred space can be found in ancient labyrinths, and although ideally each labyrinth should be constructed at such sites, this is not always possible. However we will examine these factors in sitting a labyrinth in relation to the larger outdoor labyrinth available on the day, and even in fact in the creation of you own table top versions!
