I came across the http://www.londondowsers.org website and discovered they have their two-monthly meetings in Coborn Road, Mile End - I have a very old friend who lives in this street!! :) What a coincidence.

Their meetings & trips in 2009 sound quite interesting - pity I missed the January one; I'll have to get myself off to them!

I went to the East London meeting of the group today, to hear Sig Lonegren give a talk on labyrynths. You may not have heard of him, but in dowsing circles he's very highly thought of. I took a book I have of his, & got him to autograph it! A very charismatic man & a good speaker.

The next meeting, in Richmond, has James D'Angelo as speaker! Can't wait! :) Hope we get a chance to do some overtone chanting.

The last one I went to was a talk on Buddhism by Sue Skinner & it was super.

The James D'Angelo mini-workshop today was marvellous. It took me two hours to get there  due to public transport problems, but it was well worth it. We did a lot of chanting & had a whale of a time. He's a lovely man.

I chanced to notice that just outside the pub venue (which had been found at the last minute, as the usual one let us down), there was this shop front (the small letters say 'the natural way to good health')...

...don't you think this was an amazing 'coincidence'??

Here are some of the folks experiencing tuning forks, my happy friend Les on the left...

At one point, we were chanting the sacred vowels & consonants...ah & L. Yes you've guessed it - al-lah the Muslims name for god! We did this for quite a while over & over again, and it was very loud!! I was getting a bit nervous & hoped we didn't get arrested for being a radical Islamic group....but we didn't!!!

[PS He also talked about what vibration does to solids. He showed us pictures of lycopodium powder on a plate, that had had a loud speaker positioned under it, and the different patterns it made with different kinds of music (Mozart, Beethoven, heavy metal etc|). I've always been fascinated by this, and will definitely try it once I've moved. Lycopodium powder available here. ]
